How do I verify my account?

Open your profile settings and tap Verify Phone Number. We will send a one-time SMS code to confirm. Once verified, your profile wears a small badge that hosts and guests can see.

How do I delete my account?

Settings › Account › Delete Account. This is irreversible — your profile, group history, and messages are removed immediately. We do not keep a backup.

How do I report a user?

Tap a user’s avatar in a group or chat, then choose Report. Our safety team reviews every report. Repeat offenders are removed without warning.

Using PlateBuds

How do I start a group?

Tap the + on the map, pick a restaurant, choose a time within the next twelve hours, and set the table size. Your group goes live immediately to anyone nearby.

Is PlateBuds free?

Yes. PlateBuds is free to use. You only pay for what you order at the restaurant.

What if nobody joins my group?

Groups expire if no one joins by the start time — no harm done. Pick a popular neighborhood at a peak meal hour for the best odds.
